ENVISION Technical Coordinator

About

I am a particle physicist working at CERN. I have been working in the CP violation experiment NA48 and, for the past 10 years, in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. Since 2010, I am the technical coordinator of ENVISION, a European funded project for the development of novel medical imaging modalities for quality assurance of hadron therapy. Hadron therapy uses beams of particles to treat tumours. I work within the Life Sciences section of the Knowledge Transfer group at CERN, where I am also responsible for the communication of the section.
I also have a master in science communication and journalism, and I have been working in outreach and communication (at CERN and beyond) for 10 years. I have been involved in a variety of activities, ranging from science writing to seminars and workshops for general public, to video production and editing, to book editing, to coverage of live scientific events, and more.
